Types of Advertisements Available ~ Let’s Get Started! ~ Important Details

Volunteer Global accepts banner advertisements from travel and volunteer groups, with discounts available for our Travel Buddy account holders. Our readership mainly consists of young adults hailing largely from the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Banners will appear on all pages except for our homepage; text-based ads will appear on individual blog entries.

Types of Advertisements Available

240x240 Box

• To be displayed on right sidebar
• $40 per month for non-account holders
• $36 per month for Travel Buddy Lite accounts
• $28 per month for Travel Buddy Pro accounts

240x600 Skyscraper

• To be displayed on right sidebar
• $60 per month for non-account holders
• $54 per month for Travel Buddy Lite accounts
• $42 per month for Travel Buddy Pro accounts

Text-Based Advertisement

• To be displayed at the end of all blog posts published during the ad's run
• $30 per month for non-account holders
• $27 per month for Travel Buddy Lite accounts
• $21 per month for Travel Buddy Pro accounts

If we receive requests for multiple advertisements in the same slot, we will install them on a rotor banner with each ad to display for five seconds before moving to the next.

If you’d like to advertise with Volunteer Global, please send an email to advertise@volunteerglobal.com noting:

• The company you represent
• The product or service you’d like to promote, as well as any links you will include in your ad
• Your preferred insertion date
• Whether you are a current Volunteer Global Travel Buddy account holder

We’ll be sure to get back to you as soon as possible with a confirmation and invoice, or with further questions.

Important Details

Insertion orders are due 10 days before you’d like the ad to appear. Ads will run in one-month increments starting from the date specified in your insertion order.

You must provide the code for each ad, with a maximum fileweight of 40k.

The finished product and payment are due to Volunteer Global at least five days prior to when the advertisement is scheduled to appear.

Cancellations must be made in writing 10 days prior to your ad’s final end date (e.g., if you wish for your ad to stop showing on July 31, then you must notify us by July 21).

If you wish to extend the dates of your advertisement, you must notify us in writing at least 10 days before the previously scheduled end date. Payment is due in full at least five days before the previously scheduled end date.

Ads will NOT be visible to Travel Buddy account holders if they are logged in. Anonymous users will see all banners and text-based ads.
