Two travelers recently have received acclaim and support from the volunteerism and travel industries for their respective undertakings in volun-touring around the world. Jane Stanfield, author of Mapping Your Volunteer Vacation, spent a year traveling the globe and volunteering at 12 different locations. Charyn Pfeuffer also gained recognition for her very successful push to fundraise for a 12-country, 12-month, 12-project volunteer trip—she’s currently in Costa Rica with Globe Aware as I write this article.
