A project of the Zoological Foundation of Ecuador, Quito Zoo invites volunteers to assist on a condor conservation program, general zoo upkeep, marketing and promotion, and even photography programs.

The Tandana Foundation
The Tandana Foundation offers volunteer trips throughout Ecuador and Mali to promote cross-cultural understanding. Volunteers contribute to community-based projects, which can include community development, construction, education, healthcare, and reforestation.
- How long?: One to five weeks
- Where?: Otavalo Canton
- How much?: $1,350 to $2,600 for one to five weeks

Jatun Sacha
This nonprofit organization conserves tropical forests through its five research stations—Bilsa, Guandera, San Cristobal, Congal, and Jatun Sacha. Volunteers from around the world are invited to help with general conservation projects, agroforestry, aquaculture, agriculture, reforestation, research, and environmental education.
- How long?: Two weeks or longer
- Where?: Coast region, highland region, Amazon region, and the Galapagos Islands
- How much?: $302 for the first two weeks at all stations aside from the San Cristobal station, which starts at $512
