Types of Projects

Research on the biology and ecology of the bottlenose dolphins in the Adriatic Sea.

Locations

The project takes place on island Lošinj, Croatia. Blue World is located in the centre of Veli Lošinj, a picturesque village on the south-east of the island.

Timeline

Each stage lasts 12 days, start on Monday, end on Friday

Accommodations

Eco-volunteers share a house with researchers and intern students. All the household duties are shared among everybody in the house. Sheets and blankets are provided and washing machine is available. The house is located 100m meters from the centre of the village, right at the coast.

Prerequisites

18yrs or older, english speaking, fit on your feet, no sea-sickness

Costs

Participation fees from 1090 USD to 1300 USD. Students and Croatian citizens have 10% discount. Fee includes accommodation, food and soft drinks, house expenses, boat fuel, lectures by the researchers, scientific supervision, internet access, certificate of attendance, basic insurance.
