Introduction

Casas de la Esperanza, La Esperanza Housing & Development (EH&D) is a non denominational, non political NGO, tax exempt: 501 (c) (3). It develops housing and provides technical education to families who are currently squatters, living on the outskirts of Granada, Nicaragua.

Types of Projects

Construction, education, community development, health care, technical education, workshops with women, radio, micro-credits, micro-enterprise.

Locations

La Prusia, Granada, Nicaragua.

Timeline

Three months or longer

Accommodations

Houses for the volunteers in the quarter.

Prerequisites

Some skills, Spanish (high level). Three or more months stay.

Costs

No fees. ($30 paid to the organization of volonteers for minor expenses). Lodging and lunch from Monday to Friday free.
