Fundación Amanecer

Introduction

Our vision is to offer a safe environment and a new start for the children and women who live on the streets of Cochabamba. Amanecer offers help to both sexes from infants to the age of 18 as well as mothers. The programs promote physical, intellectual, spiritual and social development with the aim of reintegration into society with increased self-respect and self-sufficiency.

Types of Projects

Taking care of babies and young children. Education support for school age children. Vocational training. Organizing recreational activities.

Timeline

6 months or more.

Accommodations

Within the programs' houses.

Prerequisites

Volunteers must have a good level of Spanish, must be over 21 years of age and be available to work with Amanecer for 6 months or more. Experience in education, social work, psychology, childcare, agriculture, a vocational qualification etc is preferred.

Costs

Volunteers do not have to pay to volunteer with Amanecer and we provide food and accomodation to those who fulfil our prerequesites. Volunteers cover their own transport and visa costs and any extras whilst they are with us.
