GVI

Introduction

GVI was formed in 1998 to provide support to international charities, non-profits and governmental agencies through volunteering opportunities, internship programs and direct funding. GVI is a recognized leader in international volunteering and has sent over 10,000 volunteers overseas to aid critical environmental and humanitarian programs.

Types of Projects

With GVI you can choose from 150 volunteer projects in local communities and organizations in over 40 countries which have been selected for their commitment to conservation and humanitarian needs.

AFRICA: Cameroon, Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa

ASIA: China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Nepal, Thailand

EUROPE: UK, Greece, Italy, Romania

LATIN AMERICA: Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua

PACIFIC: Australia, Fiji, Vanuatu

Accommodation varies greatly from family homestays to camping in the rainforest, it depends on the project.

Prerequisites

For the majority of our projects, no prior qualifications are necessary since all training is provided in the field. Once you find the project you are interested in, you can make an application and discuss your suitability for the project with a member of GVI staff.
