Introduction

HondurasChildren is a diverse group of volunteers working to make life better for impoversihed children along the Caribbean coast of Honduras.

Types of Projects

Pre-school Kinder, Porvenir English Project (PEP) for elem. age children. We also work with 3 local children's homes (orphanages).

Locations

All of our work is along the north (Caribbean) coast of Honduras. We also have some volunteers who work online from home.

Timeline

Usually six weeks or longer, but shorter-term programs are available.

Accommodations

Just minutes from the beach, housing in shared volunteer houses is available for $28 - $42 per week. A few private rooms are available.

Prerequisites

Volunteers should be 20+. Preference is given to those who have some knowledge of Spanish. The main prerequisite is flexibility, a sense of humor and an open heart!!

Costs

There is a $100 donation upon acceptance into the project. Since we are all volunteers, this donation is used toward supplies and operations expenses.
