Introduction

Since 1987, IICD has trained over a 1,200 volunteers, who have taken part in development and community work with projects in Africa, Central America and Brazil.

Types of Projects

Child aid, HIV/AIDS prevention, Training teachers, Working with farmers to make sustainable farming.

Locations

Angola, Brazil, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Zambia.

Timeline

9, 14 or 20 months programs including a preparation/training period.

Accommodations

You live at IICD while you are preparing to go abroad. While abroad you get housing provided. Primitive living. You receive a stipend to cover food and pocketmoney.

Prerequisites

Be willing to change and work with other people. Be interested in changing the world to a better place for the poor and working hard and focused to do this.

Costs

4000 - 4500 usd depending on the lenght in country. Along with the fundraising you do while at the school this covers all expenses like room and board and travel abroad. You can arrive prior to team start and work with us and in this way get reduction in the fee.
