Sunseed Project

Introduction

Celebrating its 25th year in 2011, The Sunseed Project aims to develop, demonstrate and communicate accessible, low-tech mathods of living sustainably in a semi-arid environment. We also practise Organic gardening, Appropriate Technology, Eco Construction and Maintenance, Permaculture, Sustainable Living, Drylands management.

We have lots of ongoing projects in all of our departments. A project pack is available on request.

Nestled in a beautiful valley in the only certified desert area in Europe.

The Sunseed Project is open all year round.

Accommodations

Our accommodation is in traditional Spanish stone built houses, most of our bedrooms are dorm type although we do have a few single and double rooms which can be reserved on first booked bases. We have a shower bloc with unrinals and compost toilets.

Prerequisites

Enthusiasm for environmental issues, low impact living lifestyles and community living.

Costs

From September 2011 our Full time Volunteer pay €84 per week and our Part time volunteers pay €94 per week.This includes accommodation and food (vegetarian/vegan).
