Travel to Nicaragua for 2 Weeks To Help Schools with Technology

With

World Computer Exchange

Project Description

"No one stands so tall as when they stoop to help a child" -  Abraham Lincoln

This April, travel with the World Computer Exchange to change the lives of underprivileged children in Nicaragua. As part of a small eCorps tech team, you will be able to provide local children at ten different schools with computer access while you explore the beautiful culture of Nicaragua. Although Nicaragua provides some of the world's best hiking, surfing, and ecotourism in the world, it is sadly the second poorest country in the western hemisphere.  The children of Nicaragua hold the key to their country's future and need your help!   The local schools have requested help in training teachers how to use the internet, learn to troubleshoot, and upgrade their computers and networks.  Although we sometimes take our computer skills and internet access for granted, these children will not.  Sponsored by New Horizons Computer Learning Centers, the schools have recently received refurbished Pentium 4 computers from World Computer Exchange.  Come join us in an effort to help others learn how to use computers while exploring beautiful Nicaragua.
