Seize The Day – Esperanza…Spanish School
Our Mission at Seize the day is to use funds generated from our teaching programme to help children from deprived backgrounds (troubled families, living in orphanages, street children) in Cusco with their struggle to build a better future.
Learn Spanish and Help Street Children
We offer a unique opportunity to study Spanish while immersed in Peruvian culture. We have different options to learn Spanish and the resources generated by our Spanish School goes toward helping street children in Urubamba. Our non-profit ethos means that your money goes straight into the local community. Your Spanish studies will not only be confined to a classroom and will involve lots of excursions around the beautiful town of Urubamba where we are based (e.g. markets, historic sites, shops, museums, etc). We also encourage students to participate in a range of other activities that help you make the most of your time in Peru.
Seize The Day – Esperanza with its volunteers improve children’s lives from poor and extremely poor areas by providing continuously support to the street children so that they can eat (hot food), change (to clean clothes), go to school, get a job and help them to stay off the streets.
We would like to welcome our volunteers to make a difference in the lives of street children in Cusco. For this, we would like volunteers to follow us through Cusco's streets in order to understand how these street childrren are living everyday. The volunteers will then visit our shelter where we offer the children decent meals, temporary rooms to shower and rest, some clean clothes and an area away from their daily street lives for a few hours. Our aim is to provide the children with some much needed love and attention - we believe the volunteers can contribute to this by donating some of their time. This a rewarding and uplifting experience for both children and volunteers.
